I had a request for these birds, never knew they exisited, but had to search them out. Very nice looking birds for sure. I have seen a few breeders in the US with them after searching.

Re: Coronation Sussex

Well no I'm not a lover of white birds but these are quite striking. I could have a few of those around the farm, put more nice colour into the mix here.
Are they a dual bird?

Re: Coronation Sussex

Thanks A LOT Hidden! I had just reconciled myself to having only 7 breeds, now it looks like 8 . . . sigh. First the Bantams, and now this. Let me know if you get them, I like!

Re: Coronation Sussex

They are extremely hard to come by, pairs are selling on Eggbid for close to $600. So I don't imagine I will be getting any anytime soon...I have seen some hatching eggs split back to light sussex so you would get some of each, but alas we do not live in the US and access to these eggs would be difficult as nobody I have contacted so far will do the health testing to get eggs imported properly...

Re: Coronation Sussex

Lovely birds; wish  we could get them; but maybe it is better as we are already overloaded with 13 breeds and not enough pens. Husband is constantly fretting  "Woman do you realize how much this is costing? We are on a fixed income don't forget!"  Oh Well.

Re: Coronation Sussex

What gorgeous birds he has. A little pricey maybe :moneythrow:  but beautiful none the less. The birds are so much larger than I have seen around here.

Does not ship internationally - does that usually mean that they don't want to do the papers needed? Oh boy, I have to stop looking at pictures of beautiful chickens. No money, no time, no room, no money, no time........    :banginghead:

Hope to breed in 2010 Speckled Sussex, Buff Orpingtons, Light Sussex, & Bourbon Reds.

This time of the year, find the right buyer, you will get it or hang on to them and sell them at 8 weeks.
