Toxic wellies

I'm sure no-one wants to admit to this, so lets say a "family member" suffers from this malady then poisons/subjects the rest of the family to it..... They are usually fairly proud of it, of course, as their boots smell like Limburger.  But does anyone have any hints to clean, deodorize and detoxify wellies that obviously have microorganisms amongst other things living in them, while maintaining structural integrity of the Wellie.  Natural and chemical means all welcome.  Anything that will slow the buildup even.....

I adore my Blue Laced Red & Silver Penciled Wyandottes, Euskal Oiloas, Welsummers, Barnevelders, Sumatras, Silver Dorkings, Partridge Chanteclers,  EE Americaunas, Penedesencas, Blue Andalusians & Silkies, Lavender & Millie D'Uccles, Cuckoo Marans & Spangled Orloffs, Belted Galloways, Tetley the Border terrier, Henry my black cat, and still waiting for my three humane society barn cats.

Re: Toxic wellies

sprinkle the inside with baking soda.....  or if you want to take it one more step, get the baking soda designed for litter boxes--- it has a nice scent added to it

anyhow, sprinkle, then knock them out before they are worn next....  and i know for my husband baby powder in his socks before he puts on his boots really helps, makes a difference....  i think because it cuts down the sweating

Re: Toxic wellies

Absolutely, colloidal silver water.  Kills fungus, bacteria, even that smelly fungus that can get inbetween the toes.  I had that a few weeks ago, (embarassed to even say this) but, I did.  Think it was from not drying between my toes after showering.  Anyways, no stinky in-between-the-toe skin anymore, gone after 2 swabs with colloidal silver water.  Powerful, powerful stuff.  I know, I know, so many people just phoo phoo at this stuff, but seen it work for many a thing.  Have that wonderful day, CynthiaM.

Aspiration of breeding the small flocks that I have, all standard size -- Light Brahma, Blue Cochin, two Easter Eggers, both with muffs and beards, the pullet a single comb, the cockeral a rose comb), Buff Orpington, Silver Laced and Gold Laced Wyandottes, 4 Barred Rocks, the cockeral gone now cause he was so mean, one Australorpe pullet and a dog that is cross Dalmation and Rottweiler

Re: Toxic wellies

Weeellll - I have this maladay from time to time as I frequently wear riding boots and rubber boots.  Anyway I bought this powder called - get ready for it - "anti monkey butt powder"  Don't ask - it works!  Cures coughs, colds, sore backsides and pimples on your johnson!  Well probably not all those but it does work on toxic boots and feet- if you add a bit of baking soda it works even better on the smell!

Re: Toxic wellies

When my son comes home from work he leaves his steel toe construction boots upstairs by the kitchen door.... you can smell them throughout the entire house !!!  Upstairs and downstairs.   I picked up washable wool insoles - and new socks, to absorb the smell - I've used lysol and baking soda (not together) - much better

MY STATEMENT :   if you HAVE to buy your eggs at the grocery store buy PASTURED , antiboiotic free .
or buy the regular battery hen eggs and return them with a reason at every trip to the grocery store until they get the message.
