I have 25 chickens that I we had shipped to us as day olds. They are now 20wks. old.
Over the summer I have picked up others to bring our flock up to 42.
I DON'T have any eggs yet!!When should they start laying?
Any ideas/comments would be great!!

Any day now. . . are they free ranging, and could they be hiding their eggs somewhere?

You didn't tell us what kind of chickens, but they should start laying soon. Make sure they are getting oyster shells or some other form of calcium. Light for a 14 hour day and vitamins may help as well.

Lots of good light, that will help you.

AND Hockey games on the Radio.

The reception of the radio hockey games here is poor so that must be why we aren't getting eggs. High speed interent works fine so I'll need to buy another fast computer.

depends who's playing I guess.

Hockey? No wonder they aren't laying!! All that violence.
Mine are listening to the classical music station.

They need to have teams playing from their respective native land. Hence, Imports (Mediterranean breeds) may take a long time.

My 17 week old Babcocks started laying today, they are still on Grower, NO extra light and no Oyster shell. I will start the Oystershell and light tomorrow. The 2 eggs came as a Big surprise!
Still only getting 1 a day from the other 26 Hens!
