Announcement

You're stranded in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest by a reality television show called Last Dude Someplace. You have a world-wide scavenger hunt to complete with no food or water, few supplies and little money. Can you make it back to London in one piece and collect your prize of one government granted 'wish'? REGISTRATIONS ARE CLOSED

LACONIC GAMERS ONLY
We are proud Laconic Gamers, and we reject the notion that more words and more description equals better writing. When we see it, we'll believe it, but until then we will continue to focus our gaming style on making our characters realistic and recognizable with as little purple prose and inner monologue as possible. Part of Court of Miracles

La-con-ic ( luh-kon-ik )
–adjective
using few words; expressing much in few words; concise: a laconic reply.

Forum rules

Every town has it's laws, right? Abide and you'll be fine, but break a law and you'll earn yourself a warning, 2 warnings gets you banned:

Activity Rules: You must be able to post at least 20 posts per week, no exceptions unless you let us know. If a character is abandon for any reason, it will be recast with a new player and subjected to die horribly ( or just chicken out of the game ), because it's funnier than just deleting the account. No posts will be changed, no applications will be removed. This and all other rules may be changed at any time without prior warning.

Game Movement: This forum works like a game board. Your character may not be engaged in two places or on two topics at once, you must take them on one at a time. Your moves must also be like a game board. To get from the bar into your hotel room requires steps Leave Bar, Walk Through Lobby and Go Upstairs, Go Into Room and posts in all three forums must be made in sequence. Breaking of this rule will confuse other players and may lead to you being banned.

Allowed Character Types: Live action television shows and movie characters only. No cartoons, comic books, books or manga unless a live action film or television show has been produced based on it.

Character Rules: You may play as many characters as you can handle, provided they post frequently. Any characters with less than 10 posts who haven't posted in more than a week are subject to deletion. No more than 2 characters per film or television show, contact me for exceptions.

Allowed Genre: This is a HORROR and ACTION/ADVENTURE based RPG. That means that only characters from shows and films with major horror, action, adventure or monster elements apply. If you'd like to know if your character meets the requirements, sign up as your character and ask in the Application section.

Allowed Writing Styles: NO PURPLE PROSE! We are proud Laconic Gamers, here, and prefer our own. Please keep your novelisms to a minimum. You're allowed to write the way you want to, but if your saying almost nothing but in a very wordy way, chances are you'll be warned. Example: If your character is saying 2 words of dialogue and you've written 8 paragraphs of inner monologue, please find another way of writing it. Please do not include extensive character back story in your posts, unless your backstory is being told by your character to another character. If you must write backstory somewhere, please do so in your application, as it is considered "fluff" and fluff is bad writing.

Allowed Avatars: Your character must be represented by an image of that character from the show or film that character was on, and not just a random image of that actor. Exceptions are made at my descresion.

Clone Rules: No CLONE characters. That means if your character looks just like a current character? Rethink them, please.

Monster Rules: Monsters will be assigned randomly and played in seperate accounts by seperate players to add to realism. You may volunteer to play a monster ( zombie, werewolf, vampire, etc. ), but you may not just assume the role or find monsters who aren't already being played in game by a monster player. Monsters are the random fiends discovered throughout the game. If your character is a vampire, werewolf, etc. with a name and a backstory ( examples: Spike, Sadako, Ginger ) then you are not a monster, you're a player. Weither or not you become a problem for the other players is up to you. ;)

Weapon Rules: Coming Soon.

God Modding: Or auto-ing. Basically it means you've played another player's character for them without their permission. This is against the rules and you can be banned for it.

Stay In Character: Stay in character at all times unless your in an off-topic forum. If you're confused in an RPG forum, use OCC to ask your questions. Example: ( OCC: Is Spike talking to me or to himself? )

Forbidden Content: No graphic nudity ( image or description ) or cybering allowed - this is about the story, not about you busting a nut. I realize this is a horror and Action/Adventure RPG and a lot of characters are sexual characters, so some 'petting' is allowed, but please end the topic before it gets graphic.

Respect: Please respect everyone and they'll respect you. If you have a problem with someone, please let a mod know!
