RECOMMENDATION NEEDED

HI FOLKS,

CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND AN EASY-TO -USE/UNDERSTAND WINDOWS XP RECORDING SOFTWARE?

I HAVE AUDACITY, BUT IT'S TIME TO UPGRADE TO SOMETHING MORE.

Re: RECOMMENDATION NEEDED

Hi Bob,

I would seriously consider Cubase. It is fairly user friendly and packed with features.

Re: RECOMMENDATION NEEDED

Why do you think you need more than Audacity?   What limitations have you hit?  There are many programs out there and some excel at things better than others.  What are you looking to accomplish?  I am currently using Cubase but there is a lot to the program and the basics maybe easy to understand there is a lot of power there that you might not exploit.  You could be paying for something you don't need.

I have used Sonar and Cubase on XP.  I recently switched to a Mac and found Garage Band to be an incredibly easy program to use.  Great for jotting down ideas.  Not sure what the equivalent would be on the PC.  With any program like this you also need a good audio interface.  Often that can make the difference in recordings.

Re: RECOMMENDATION NEEDED

Robert,

When you receive the free "app" could you post the URL so I can download it ?

I've been using Cubase, Sony Acid 7.0, Saw Studio, Audacity, Cakewalk Pro Audio 9, and others too numerous to mention. I'm always looking for others.......

I've heard there's a version for Windows XP similar to Garage Band, but I haven't found it as of yet....

Thank you....
Adolph
